A: This course is for beginners looking to totally level up their approach to cake design, baking, and construction. You do not need any prior baking or cake creating experience to follow along with Laurie. For those with more experience, this course will help sharpen and hone your skills so that you can bring your ideas to life with greater accuracy.

Q: How long is this going to take?

A: You can go at your own pace! Some students like to watch it all first, while others bake along in real time. If you're baking with me step-by-step, setting aside two back-to-back days works best. And don’t worry, you’ll have lifetime access to rewatch or revisit any part whenever you like!

Q: How much should I expect to spend on groceries and tools?

A: You’ll get a full list at the start, but most ingredients are pantry staples you likely already have. As for tools, this course is all about keeping it simple! The essentials are cake pans, a cake smoother, and a cake turntable (an old lazy Susan will do just fine!). Everything else is optional and depends on how creative you want to get with your design!
